The Lunenburg Chief of Police, Chief Marino retires after four decades.

At 5 pm this evening, Chief James P. Marino retired from the Lunenburg Police Department after more than four decades of selfless service to our community. Starting in 1979 as a reserve officer, Chief Marino ascended through the ranks to become the department’s Detective, Detective-Sergeant, Lieutenant, and finally Chief in 2012. During his time at the department, he fostered healthy relationships with the community, the town departments, and his fellow officers. Through constant training, mentoring, encouragement, and accountability, Chief Marino has developed his officers into professionals that care about our town and the people in it.
